The medical staff will generally pump out the air in the patient's body when using the syringe for injection. If there are some small bubbles, the air will rise when the liquid comes down during the injection. Generally, the air will not be pushed into the body;
If a very small amount of bubbles enter the human body, there is generally no danger.
Of course, if a large amount of air enters the human body, it will cause blockage of the pulmonary artery, causing that the blood cannot enter the lungs for gas exchange, and endangering human life.
Generally, when air enters the human body, it will react immediately, such as chest tightness, Qi tightness and other serious hypoxia.
Problems needing attention in infusion
Infusion should be conducted in a regular medical institution, because infusion requires certain sanitary conditions and environment. If infusion is conducted in other places, there are some unsafe factors.
The infusion should be kept in the infusion room. Do not go to the infusion room by yourself and leave the supervision of medical staff. In case of liquid exudation or liquid drips out, it cannot be handled in time, resulting in some adverse consequences. In particular, some drugs may cause adverse reactions, which may be life-threatening if not treated in time.
The infusion process requires strict aseptic operation. The doctor's hands are disinfected. If a bottle of liquid is transfused, non professionals should not change it, because if it is not done well, in case of air entering, it will increase some unnecessary trouble; If bacteria were brought into the liquid, the consequences would be unimaginable.
During the infusion process, do not adjust the infusion speed by yourself. The infusion speed adjusted by medical staff during infusion is generally determined based on the patient's condition, age, drug requirements and other conditions. Because some drugs need to be dropped slowly. If they are dropped too fast, it will not only affect the curative effect, but also increase the burden on the heart. In serious cases, it will cause heart failure, acute pulmonary edema, etc.
During the infusion process, if small bubbles are found in the leather tube, it means that there is air entering. Don't be nervous. Just ask professionals to handle the air inside in time.
After the infusion is over and the needle is pulled out, the sterilized cotton ball shall be pressed slightly above the puncture point by hand for hemostasis. The time shall be 3 ~ 5 min. do not press too hard to avoid pain.
