Infusion standard operation

If a very small amount of air bubbles enter the human body, there is generally no danger.
Of course, if a large amount of air enters the human body, it will cause blockage of the pulmonary artery, resulting in the inability of blood to enter the lungs for gas exchange, which will endanger human life.
Generally, when air enters the human body, it will respond immediately, such as severe hypoxia such as chest tightness and shortness of breath.
Matters needing attention during infusion
The infusion should go to a regular medical institution, because the infusion requires certain sanitary conditions and environment. If the infusion is in other places, there are some unsafe factors.
The infusion should stay in the infusion room, do not go outside the infusion room by yourself, and leave the supervision of the medical staff. Just in case the liquid seeps out or the liquid drips out, it cannot be dealt with in time, which will cause some adverse consequences. In particular, some drugs may cause adverse reactions, which may be life-threatening if not treated in time.
The infusion process requires strict aseptic operation. The doctor's hands are sterilized. After a bottle of liquid has been infused, if you need to change the bottle for infusion, non-professionals should not change it, because if it is not done well, in case air enters, Add some unnecessary trouble; if you bring bacteria into the liquid, the consequences are disastrous.
During the infusion process, do not adjust the infusion rate by yourself. The infusion rate adjusted by medical staff when infusion is generally determined based on the patient's condition, age, and drug requirements. Because some drugs need to be dripped slowly, if dripped too fast, it will not only affect the efficacy, but also increase the burden on the heart, which can cause heart failure and acute pulmonary edema in severe cases.
During the infusion process, if you find that there are small air bubbles in the leather tube, it means that there is air entering. Don't be nervous, just ask a professional to deal with the air inside in time.
After the needle is pulled out after the infusion, the sterile cotton ball should be pressed slightly above the puncture point to stop the bleeding for 3 to 5 minutes. Do not press too hard to avoid pain.
